With over 35 years of continuous operating experience through our subsidiary Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A.  (QGOG), the Company has developed alongside the oil and gas sector in Brazil, adapting our services and equipment to address changing market conditions.

1980

  • Queiroz Galvão Perfurações S.A. (currently Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A. – QGOG) founded in April 1980, during the world oil crisis, focused on land rigs. QGOG launched onshore drilling operations in 1981 with the purchase of the QG-I and QG-II rigs.

1987

  • QGOG started land rigs operations in the Amazon Region

1994

  • Started offshore rig operations with the Alaskan Star

1997

  • Acquired Atlantic Star rig

2006

  • Changed name to Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás S.A. – QGOG

  • Awarded Lone, Gold and Olinda Star contracts

  • Acquired interest in FPSO Capixaba

2008

  • Added two land rigs with the largest drilling capacity in Brazil

2009

  • Launched deepwater rig operations with Olinda Star rig

2010

  • Started ultra-deepwater operations with Gold Star rig

  • Alaskan Star rig resumes operations after its upgrade

  • Awarded FPSO Cidade de Paraty

  • Private Placement to CIPEF and spin-off of QGEP (Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção), a Bovespa-listed company since 2011.

2011

  • Awarded FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela
  • Expanded ultra-deepwater operations with Alpha and Lone Star rigs
  • Atlantic Star rig resumes operations after its upgrade
  • Added three helicopter – transportable land rigs to the onshore fleet

2012

  • Expanded ultra-deepwater operations with Amaralina and Laguna Star ultra-deepwater drillships from Samsung 

2013

  • Awarded two new FPSOs (Cidade de Maricá and Cidade de Saquarema)
  • Start of operations of FPSO Cidade de Paraty and FPSO P-63 (Papa-Terra)

2014

  • Start of operations of FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela

 

2015

  • Start of operations of Brava Star

 

2016

  • Start of operations of FPSO Cidade de Maricá and FPSO Cidade de Saquarema
